James E. Nichols

RIPLEY- James E. “Jimmy” Nichols, 50, died unexpectedly February 21, 2013. He was born May 24, 1962 in Houlton, the son of James E “Bud” Nichols and Jean E. Nichols.

He graduated from Dexter Regional High School class of 1980. Jimmy owned and operated James E. Nichols Sawdust and Shavings Co. He had many close friends, and enjoyed doing for others. He would drop everything to help with any project or need that they might have. Jimmy will be remembered and deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy L. Nichols of Ripley; two daughters, LeeAnne Quirk and her husband, Heath of Bangor, and Tarsha Murray and her companion, Lauren McNeely of Utah; two grandchildren, Alexis Farris and Brady Quirk of Bangor; a sister, Anne Clukey and her husband, Neil of Dexter; a brother, Douglas Nichols and his wife, LaDonna of Dexter; a step-mother, Kay Bemis of Corinna; nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, and son, Christopher.

There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held 6 PM, Tuesday, February, 26, 2013, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy’s name to the Ripley Trail Riders Snowmobile Club c/o Larry Greaves, 105 Neals Drive, Ripley ME 04930 or Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor ME 04401.
