Mervin R. Murray

GARLAND- Mervin R. Murray, 83, died February 21, 2013, at the Millinocket Regional Hospital. He was born in Corinna, April 3, 1929, the son of Wilfred and Grace (Giles) Murray.

He served in the US Army during the end of WWII and through the Korean Conflict. He worked for Fay Scott in Dexter for many years. He was a member of the Penobscot Masonic Lodge in Dexter, and was a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Cindy Anderson and her husband, William of Brunswick, Kelly Pease and her husband, Carl Jr. of Harmony, and Tracy Jandreau and her husband, Mark of Millinocket; a son, David Murray and his wife, Lynn of Wiscasset; 2 brothers, Darrell, and Royce; 2 sisters, Pauline, and Charlotte; a half sister, Margaret; 3 half brothers, Jerry, Richard, and Joey; 6 grandchildren, Adrian, and Joshua Madore, Aaron Jandreau, Jason and Alison Pease, and Sierra Murray; a great grandson, Maddox Jandreau; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Anita (Wambolt) Murray; and 2 brothers, Floyd and Kenneth.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Garland Baptist Church, where friends may call from noon until the time of the service.

Spring burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Garland.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Garland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 76, Garland, ME 04939.
