Thelma Mae Buck

CORINNA – Thelma Mae (Soule) Buck, 101, died March 6, 2013 at Lizabeth House in Dexter.

She was born June 17, 1911 in Newport, a daughter of Perley and Elfie (Leonard) Soule. She graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1929.

She was married to Roland V. Buck, who predeceased her on May 16, 2000. Together they owned and operated Prairie View Farms in Corinna. She was a member of Morse’s Corner Baptist Church in Corinna, and in later years, attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Exeter with her daughter Charlene. She was also a member of the Morse’s Corner Ladies Circle at the church and was the holder of the Boston Post Cane for the Town of Corinna.

She is survived by her son Terry and his wife Esther Buck of Corinna; 2 daughters, Charlene Emerson of Newport and Diane Nye of Corinna; a brother Erwin “Kip” and wife Gloria Soule of Bar Harbor; a sister, Elain Dubose of Kentucky; grandchildren, Kim and husband Milton Hughes; Steven and wife Pamela Buck and their daughters Erin and Regan; Cory Buck, and sons Nathan and Owen; Terrie Lee and husband Butch Murray, and their daughters, Shana and husband Alton Anderson, their children, Lauryn and Aiden; Michelle and husband Justin Paradis and their children, Jake and Kaylee; Allen Emerson and sons Brandon and Kyle; Randy Nye; Patrick and wife Kathy Nye. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 2 sons in law, Philip Nye and Kenneth Emerson.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, March 11th, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, with the Revs. Stan Griffin and Timothy Hutchins officiating. Friends may call from noon until the time of services.

Spring burial will be in Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to any local humane society.
