HARMONY-Cecil E. Chadbourne, 78, died unexpectedly June 5, 2015 at a Skowhegan rehabilitation center. He was born July 20, 1936 in Harmony in the home he lived in until recently, a son of George and Mae (Gilman) Chadbourne.\n\nHe married his high school sweetheart, the former Meredith Curtis, and their 60th wedding anniversary would have been celebrated this November. Cecil was a shoe cutter until his retirement in 1998. He was also a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Harmony Patriarch's Club.\n\nIn addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Jeffrey and wife Mel, Brian and Diane Salisbury, all of Harmony, and Curt and Karen Chadbourne of Stetson; a brother, Clyde and Rosemary Chadbourne of Cambridge; a sister, Lenora and Richard Watson of Harmony; 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Madison, Evan, Erika, and Erin; a great granddaughter, Raelynn; many nieces and nephews.\n\nHe was predeceased by a son Stephen; as well as a number of brothers and sisters.\n\nA memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 11th, at the Harmony Baptist Church, with the Rev. Henry Thibodaux officiating. Interment will be at the Chadbourne Cemetery at a later date.
