GARLAND - Charlotte McKechnie, 87, died October 10, 2017 at a Dexter healthcare facility.

She was born February 3, 1930 in Garland, a daughter of Arthur and Marion (Cunningham) Haskell. She graduated from N. H. Fay High School in Dexter and also completed a year of college.

Charlotte worked at Dexter Shoe and at Eastland Woolen Mill for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing and country music.

She is survived by a daughter, Roberta McKechnie of South Paris; 2 sons, Jeff McKechnie of Garland, and Ed and wife Carol McKechnie of Surry; 2 grandchildren, Wayne and Shawn McKechnie; 2 brothers, Charles and wife Jean Haskell of MA, and Merle and wife Gloria Haskell of Garland; 3 sisters, Caroline Clement of Fairfield, Myra Grant, and Madeline and husband Edward Petrie, all of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews.

Private burial will be in the West Garland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
