Cindy Lou Noyes Obituary (1957 - 2011)

HARFORD'S POINT- Cindy Lou (Gould) Noyes died February 12, 2011, after a short illness. She was born in Greenville, November 24, 1957, to Richard and Edith (Rowe) Gould. Cindy grew up on East Road surrounded by family and friends. She attended Greenville schools and graduated from Greenville High School in 1976. Pete and Cindy met and were married in Greenville where they raised their daughter, Laura, who is their pride and joy. Cindy worked at various jobs but was best known as "the little bus driver". She delivered a generation of children safely to school and home. She loved the kids, especially the kindergarten run. She also was a substitute teacher. She was especially proud to be a member of the Moosehead Manglers Bike Club and rode in the Trek Across Maine for ten consecutive years. Cindy was a friend to all animals, and had numerous pets including Sheridan, Ranger, Oreo, Kate, Mitty, and Bill the Cat. She loved wild animals and spent countless hours feeding and observing birds in her yard. Her birding life list is impressive. Cindy said her reason for being revealed itself, when her grandchildren Anna and Kevin were born. They loved their Nanny, and seeing their smiling faces at the airport always made the memory of a long trip melt away. The cries of "uppy-down, Nanny!" will always be remembered. Her joy of playing with them knew no bounds and she was always planning her next trip to be with them. Cindy always put others first and lived a life full of giving and caring. It was a short life, but lived at full throttle. Cindy is survived by her husband, Pete of Harford's Point; their daughter, Laura and her husband, Stephen Pelletier, grandkids, Anna and Kevin, all of Portland, Oregon; her parents, of Greenville; brothers and sisters, Debbie Gould of Greenville, Lonnie Gould and partner, Sofia Wilder of Bangor, Bonnie and Scott Campbell of Greenville, and Scott and Judy Gould of Old Town; many cousins, nieces and nephews; along with many friends. She also leaves behind hundreds of birds, squirrels and wildlife at Harford's Point. Friends may call 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Greenville Chapel of Crosby & Neal, at the Masonic Temple. Memorial services will be held at the Chapel, 3:30 PM, Wednesday, February 16th. Friends and family are invited to share stories and memories of Cindy during the service.
