RIPLEY - Daisy Hand, 79, passed away June 6, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was born December 23, 1938 in Bangor, a daughter of Harold and Lena (Dorr) Strout. Daisy graduated from Hampden Academy, Class of 1959 and served in the U. S. Army as a cook. She was a home health aide and later became a Certified Nurse's Aide. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Brewer and the Red Hat Society in Ripley.

Daisy is survived by 2 sons, Edward of Carmel, James and wife Heather of Rochester, NH; a sister Gloria and husband Alton Quimby of Ripley; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Robert and Brianna Hand; and a nephew, Curt Freeman.

She was predeceased by a son Robert Hand, a brother Ervin Strout and a sister Judith Strout.

Private family burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
