DOROTHY L. BATEMAN

RIPLEY -- Dorothy Bateman, 81, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born January 3, 1942 in Volney, NY, a daughter of Newton and Mary (Vanderhaden) Preeman. .

She was known throughout the community serving as a Sunday school teacher and a school bus driver. She retired from Dexter Shoe. Dorothy was an active member of the Cambridge Baptist Church and was very compassionate and would help anyone in need.

She is survived by her children, Richard and David Bateman, Kenny and Barbara Cardinell, and Mary Moses; sister Florence Lockwood; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.

There will be no services. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
