CORINTH AND DEXTER- Dorothy I. Towle, 94, died August 6, 2014, at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth. She was born September 8, 1919, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Perry and Nellie (Thomas) Nelson.\n\nShe attended Dexter schools, and married the late Clifford L. Towle. She and her husband owned and operated their dairy farms in Garland, Dexter, and later in Corinth for many years. They also operated antique shops in Corinth and Augusta.\n\nShe is survived by 3 daughters, Marlene Athearn and Brenda Lindsay, both of Old Orchard Beach, and Marilyn Hartley of Garland; a brother, Perry Nelson of Corinna; a sister, Shirley Campbell of Sangerville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.\n\nFriends may call Monday, August 11, 2014, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of your choice.
