DETROIT - Francis Eugene Kent, 81, died September 7, 2010 at his residence.

He was born January 10, 1929 in Ipswich, MA, a son of Reginald and Edith Kent.

Francis will be remembered by his family and friends as a hard worker. After retiring, he moved from Massachusetts to Maine.

He is survived by 4 sons, Richard and wife Anne of MA, Charles and wife Nancy of VT, Brian and wife Anne, and Dennis and wife June, all of Corinna; 3 daughters, Beverly and husband Ed Cassell of NH, Marie and husband Phil DeBrosse of GA, and Sandra Cromeenes of Troy; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Pearl (Stevenson) on May 27, 2009, and by a grandson, Brian E. Kent on March 9, 1998.

At his request, there will be no services at this time. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
