Jean Marie McIntosh

NEWPORT – Jean McIntosh, 78, died peacefully August 11, 2023 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born June 4, 1945 in St. John, New Brunswick, a daughter of James and Gladys (Ingleton) MacIntosh. She graduated from Newport High School and attended some college. She was employed at several shoe shops in the area.

She is survived by her sons, Ralph “Billy” Charters of Scarborough, Jeff and wife Stephanie Charters of Newport; a sister, Cathy Meagher of Corinna; a sister in law Diane MacIntosh of Plymouth; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Taylor, and Mikayla Charters; 2 great grandchildren, Raina and Quinn; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Richard MacIntosh.

A family graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 9th at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
