ABBOT- Karen Theresa Bickford, 69, passed away gently in her sleep, February 18, 2015, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born November 1, 1945 in Spokane, WA, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Rooney) Brincken, Jr.\n\nShe graduated from St. Alphonsus School of Nursing in Boise, Idaho.\n\nShe worked as an RN delivering babies at Mayo Regional Hospital for many years. Later, Karen worked as a home health care nurse for Community Health and Counseling, until her retirement.\nShe was a Cub Scout den mother, a Girl Scout leader, and taught swimming lessons. Karen also was instrumental in setting up the First Responders with the Monson Fire Dept.\n\nShe is survived by her loving husband, Collin Bickford of Abbot; children, Beth Ann White, Carl Bickford and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Grace and Elijah Bickford; Wendy Cupero and her husband, Frank and their daughter, Cassidy, and Will Bickford and his wife, Kelly. \n\nNo public services are planned at this time.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the National MS Society, 74 Gray Road, Falmouth, ME 04105.\n\nArrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
