Obituary

DEXTER - Kathleen Frances (Johnson) Wilcox died peacefully, September 23, 2012, at home with family lovingly at her side. She was born February 16, 1929, in Woodland, the daughter of John Victor Johnson and Mildred Leila Green Johnson of Perham.

She was married to Athill G. Wilcox for 57 years until his death September 6, 2008.

Kathleen was employed by Dexter Shoe Company for 21 years and then retired to help raise her grandchildren. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Dexter where she served as church treasurer for many years.

She is survived by her son, Timothy and his wife, Linda of Boothbay, and her son, Kenneth and his wife, Audrey of Dexter; her sisters, Viola and her husband, Joe, Cora, Helen, and Carolyn and her husband Vincent; one brother, Oscar of Dexter and North Dexter; five grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Heather, Mandie and her husband, Josh, Aimee and her husband, Ken, Allison, and Scott and his wife, Kelly; six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mabel Hewitt and Leona Elderkin; and a grandson, Bruce.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 130 Spring Street in Dexter, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2012 with Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Visiting hours will be 6 to 8 PM, Friday, September 28, 2012, at the church.
