Obituary

ST.ALBANS- Madeline E. Sambito, 86, died December 12, 2014, at Dexter Health Care. She was born in Epping, NH, September 26, 1928, the daughter of David and Beatrice (Sutherland) Olsson.

She graduated from Westford Academy in Westford, MA, class of 1947. On April 9, 1950 she married Anthony R. Sambito, who predeceased her in 1995, after 45 years of marriage. She enjoyed reading, crafts, knitting, fishing, camping, traveling in their RV, and spending time with her family.

She was a lifelong member of the First Parish Church United in Westford, MA. After moving to Maine in 1989, she attended Grace Linn Memorial Church in Hartland. Madeline was a 50 years member of the Ida McKinley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Anthony Sambito Jr. and his wife, Paula of Ripley; a daughter, Martha Jennings and her husband, Richard of St. Albans; 3 grandchildren, Ann Babine, Julie Farnsworth, and Melissa Jennings; 6 great grandchildren, Zachary, Katelynn, Shelby, Chase, Shane, and Ryan.

Friends may call Wednesday December 17, 2014, from 1 to 2 PM, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home 2 PM.

Spring burial will be in the Maloon Cemetery in St. Albans.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Dexter Health Care Activities Fund, 64 Park Street, Dexter, ME 04930; or to the charity of your choice.
