GREENVILLE- Marion (Layman) Pelletier RN, 90, died May 4, 2015, at C.A. Dean in Greenville, surrounded by her family. She was born in W. Palm Beach, FL, February 8, 1925, the daughter of Arthur and Marion (Spracklin) Layman.\n\nShe was a graduate of Greenville High School. During WW II she was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps., and was a graduate of the nursing program at Eastern Maine General Hospital. \n\nShe is survived by a daughter, Barbet and her husband, Steven Mason of Greenville; a son, Steven and his wife, Irene of Tucson, AZ; a special daughter-in-law, Beverly of Saco; grandchildren, Tom, Bryan, Deborah, Pamela, James and Matthew; and 8 great grandchildren, with the newest being, Alana Hope Mason; 2 sisters, Shirley Daigle of AZ and Betty Davis of Bangor; 2 sisters-in-law, Elaine Layman and Eunice Layman.\n\nShe was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Edmond L. Pelletier in 2008; a son, Edmond A. Pelletier; 3 brothers, Arthur, William and George; and a sister, Barbara.\n\nThe family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and staff at C.A. Dean for the exceptional care she received during her stay.\n\nIn lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be sent to C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 1129, Greenville, ME 04441, to establish a scholarship for a CNA wishing to pursue a nursing career.\n\nIn keeping with her wishes, there will be a graveside service at the Shirley Cemetery, Saturday, May 16th at 3 PM, with Pastor Marilyn Rohdin officiating.\n\nArrangements by Crosby & Neal, Greenville.
