GREENVILLE- Mary E. McAfee, 89, went home to be with the her Lord, July 13, 2012, from C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. She was born January 9, 1923, in Greenville, a daughter of George and Bernice (Park) McEachern.

She graduated from Greenville High School, and in 1941 she married John A. McAfee, also of Greenville. In the early 1950's she and her family moved to Collingdale, PA, where she was a founding member of Faith Reformed Baptist Church in Media, PA.

In 1990 after the retirement of her husband, they returned home to Greenville. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Bible in Greenville.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2001; and a daughter-in-law, Bette.

She is survived by 2 sons and their wives, John McAfee Jr. and his wife, Joan of PA, and Kevin McAfee and his wife, Deborah of Greenville; and a daughter, Pamela Sarol and her husband, Ronald of Greenville; 6 grandchildren, Ronald, John III, Brian, Colin, Kathleen, and Kellie; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Brown of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, Clinton McEachern of CT; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 6 PM, Monday July 23, 2012, at the Church of the Open Bible in Greenville with Pastor Steve Nuite officiating.
