Maurice L. Yonkin, Jr. Obituary (1933

GUILFORD- Maurice L. Yonkin, Jr., 82, died October 23, 2015, at his home in Guilford. He was born September 7, 1933, in Dushore, PA, the son of Maurice and Elaine (Huntsinger) Yonkin, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He worked for many years for Guilford Industries as Plant Engineer. Maurice was active in the community and was a valuable member of several boards, including many years as a director for the Guilford Sangerville Water District. He was very well liked and was always willing to share his wealth of knowledge on so many issues. He will be sorely missed by all. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Louise (Fogg) Yonkin in 2009. He is survived by 6 sons, Larry McAfee and his wife, Kathleen of York, Frederick McAfee and his wife, Joan of Dover-Foxcroft, Maurice Benjamin Yonkin of AZ, Morry Yonkin of Bangor, Bruce Yonkin and Penny Brown of Sangerville, and Brian Yonkin of Guilford; 2 daughters, Charlotte Turner of NC, and Rhonda Valle of AZ; 7 grandchildren, Dawn, Eric, Ryan, and Matt McAfee, Cassie and Dustin Yonkin, and Joey Grunin; 8 great grandchildren, Declan McAfee, Todd Wark, Ashley Wark, Chase, Paul, and Lennon McAfee, Julie and Robin McAfee; great great grandchildren, Skylee, and Summer Yonkin; several nieces and nephews . At his request, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to Hibbard Nursing Home, P.O. Box 150, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
