GUILFORD- Muriel I. Herring, 88, died July 30, 2012, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born June 25, 1924, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Waldo and Doris (Mason) Lary.

She graduated from Sangerville High School, class of 1943, and from nursing school in Biddeford in 1946. After graduation, she worked as an RN doing general duty nursing at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft.

She was an active member of the Abbot Evangelical Free Church. Her great passions in life were her Lord and Savior, and her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, H. Erland Herring in 2002.

She is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Brenda and Roger Ronco, and Cheryl and Pat Bush; and a sister, Marilyn Cookson, all of Guilford; 5 grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Ronco, Amy Stillman, Kimberly Dunham, and Ryan Bush; 14 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Ronnie Cookson.

Friends may call 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Village Cemetery in Sangerville with Pastor Ray Beless officiating.
