DEXTER- Owen L. Clark, 77, passed away June 11, 2013 as the result of respiratory failure at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born in Dexter October 18, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Dexter. \n\nOwen attended Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion. Owen worked as a carpenter, millwright, and was a supervisor at Cianbro. \n\nHe enjoyed Maine's outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The Clark household was home to many cats over the years, as Owen was a true cat lover.\n\nHe is survived by his biological daughter, Renee Page of Farmingdale, and several cousins, including Dennis "Sonny" Cleaves of Pittsfield. Owen was predeceased by his mother Helen Haskell and his father Herbert Aucock.\n\nFriends may call from 10 AM to 12 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Crosby and Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter. \n\nA graveside service with military honors will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, following the visiting hours. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mount Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
