DEXTER- Patricia A. ("Tibbetts", "Strout") Blend, 72, our beloved mother and friend, died on Monday, July 31, 2017, peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. She was born on July 15, 1945 in Bangor. She grew up in the Hermon and Garland areas and she graduated from Dexter Regional High School.\n\nPat lived in California for eleven years where she owned her own catering business and appliance business. She also worked at the Dexter Shoe Factory, Guilford Woolen Mill and drove for Lynx Transportation upon her return to Maine in 1981. Pat was married to Bruce K. Strout in 1963 and together they had two daughters, Teresa and Tracy. They divorced and later, Pat remarried in 1983 to Donald Blend. They divorced in 1999.\n\nPat was predeceased by her parents, Earl Tibbetts and Shirley Tibbetts of the Hermon, Garland and Dexter areas of Maine.\nPat is survived by her daughters and brothers...her daughter, Teresa Lawson of Dexter, her granddaughter, Amanda Lawson of Dexter, and her great granddaughter, Kelsey; her daughter, Tracy Cote and her son-in-law David of Hudson, and her granddaughter Brittany Cote of Denver, Colorado; her brother, Michael Tibbetts, his wife, Brenda and their children of Garland; her brother, David Tibbetts, his wife, Judy and their children of Page, Arizona.\n\nA unique soul, Pat was loved by all and she cherished the time she spent with family and friends. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be greatly missed by us all. \n\nA graveside service will be held on August 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery on the Campbell Road in Garland.
