GUILFORD- Patricia A. Fortier, 74, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover Foxcroft after a battle with cancer.\n\nShe was born August 18, 1941 in Dover Foxcroft, a daughter of Gordon and Beatrice Ramsay.\n\nPatsy was a graduate of PCHS in Guilford, and continued on to become a clerk at Ross Drug Store in Guilford for 23 years, and then Davis Brothers Furniture in Guilford.\n\nShe was a lifelong Democrat who served her party for many years with much love, devotion, and passion. She cared for many people with open arms, a kind heart, and loved unconditionally.\n\nShe is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jay C Fortier; devoted mother of Robert J Fortier and wife Lisa of Hermon, Kelly-Jo Zajechowski and husband Robert of Virginia Beach, Kelly and Robbie's sister Karen Belyea; brother Stephen Ramsay of Guilford; and sister Suzanne Strother of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Erin-Jo Luellen and husband Josh, Ian Fortier and fiance Alexis Gehan, and JayR Zajechowski; two great grandchildren Dylan and Ethan Luellen; niece Morgan Newman and husband Ted; nephew Kyle Ramsay and partner Jessica Sprauge; as well as two life long friends Carole Deering and Carolyn Whaley; and her dog Suzy.\n\nShe is predeceased by her parents and several beloved pets. \n\nThe family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Hibbard Nursing home for their care and compassion.\n\nFriends may call from 6 to 8 P.
