Obituary

GREENVILLE, Richard M. Elsemore, Sr. "Big Rock", 56, died April 30, 2013, at C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville. He was born January 25, 1957, in Greenville, the son of Robert and Nancy (Richards) Elsemore Sr.

He loved going to camp at Elm Pond, working with his excavator, and playing in the dirt at the same time; and anything to do with fishing, hunting and camping. He owned and operated Porter's Garage in Greenville for the past 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen (Higgins) Elsemore; a son, Richard Jr., "Little Rock"; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Elsemore; 2 special grandchildren, Taylor and Adam Elsemore; his mother, Nancy; and a sister, Janice Lavigne all of Greenville; several nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by his family and many special friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Elsemore Sr. and 2 brothers, Robert Jr. and Dana.

A reception to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 11 AM to 2 PM, at the parish hall in the basement of Holy Family Catholic Church in Greenville.
