SANGERVILLE- Ruth Ann Buzzell, 90, passed away, January 17, 2015, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born January 13, 1925, in Ft. Fairfield, the daughter of Bertrand and Helen (Marsh) Loane.\n\nShe always referred to herself as a county girl, but as a small child she came to Guilford to be raised by her grandparents, Ralph and Mertie Marsh, and a special aunt, Alice. Ruth attended schools in Ft. Fairfield and Guilford, graduating from Guilford High School, class of 1943. She graduated from Leland Powers School of Theater and Radio in Boston class of 1945, and later in life from the Mansfield School of Cosmetology. \n\nShe worked as a Postmaster of the Sangerville Post Office, and later was employed by BMHI as a cosmetologist. \n\nIn 1947 Ruth married Sidney E. "Sid" Buzzell from Sangerville. She along with her husband operated the H.E. Buzzell General Store in Sangerville, and later became involved with ministry. In the 1960's Ruth supported her husband's decision to attend Boston University's School of Theology, followed by his ordination in 1971. They served a number of churches in central Maine including, East and West Corinth Methodist Churches, Grace United Methodist Church in Bangor, and Guilford United Methodist Church, retiring in 1993.\n\nRuth was very active in the churches and the community. She was a member of several organizations including, Susie Carr Chapter of the OES, where she was a Past Worthy Matron, the United Methodist Women, and Heartwise. She was a care giver along with her husband at "My Friends Place", which is an Alzheimer's care organization. She and Sid were also very active with the troop greeters at BIA where they made many soldiers feel the importance of what they were doing. \n\nShe is survived by 2 daughters, Helen Feldman of Auburn, and Jeanne Cookson and her husband, David of Guilford; a sister, Alice Johnson and her husband, Dick of CT; a sister-in-law, Barbara Loane of CA; grandchildren, Lane Feldman and his wife, Holly, Rachel Hutchins and her husband, Sam, Daniel Cookson and his friend, Michele, Adam Feldman and his wife, Rebecca, and Scott Feldman and his wife, Dawn; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Marguerite Buzzell and Sterling and Barbara Buzzell.\n\nShe was predeceased by her husband in 2010; a son-in-law, Howard Feldman; and a brother, Marsh Loane.\n\nFuneral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Guilford United Methodist Church with Pastor Reene Cipullo officiating. Spring burial will be in the Sangerville Village Cemetery.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Guilford United Methodist Church, P.O.
