BANGOR- Shirley E. Chadbourne, 95, died July 4, 2011. She was born December 26, 1915, in Cambridge, daughter of Ralph Bailey and Edna Watson Bailey Sawyer. \n\nShirley and Norman raised their family in Cambridge and retired to FL for winters. Shirley moved to Sunbury Village in Bangor in 2003 where she met many new friends who became like family. She was very active and enjoyed her life at Sunbury. She was a member of the Cambridge Baptist Church, the Gideon's International, Northside Baptist Church in St. Petersburg FL, and in recent years, Calvary Baptist Church in Brewer, where she enjoyed the love and care of her church family in her senior years. \n\nShirley is survived by her daughter Deanna Lander and husband Galen of Hermon, Alden Stuart, of TN, husband of her deceased daughter Beth; six grandchildren, Mark Stuart and wife Christie of MD, Gary Stuart and wife Beth of TN, and Stephen Stuart of TN, granddaughter-in-law Mary Stuart of Bangor, Kelly Bragdon and husband Kelley of Bangor, Karen Lander of Portland, Jeffrey Lander and wife Connie of Silverdale WA; eight great grandchildren, Douglas, Logan, Lane, Ryan, and Emily Stuart, Laura Curtis and husband Caleb, and Ben and Nathan Lander; great great grandson Landon Curtis; and a sister, Althea Folsom and husband Arthur of Buxton.\n\nShe was predeceased by her parents; her husband Norman in 1984; her daughter Beth Stuart; grandchildren Douglas Stuart and Marcia Lander; her sisters Thelma Burns, Mildred Ayer, Esther Phares, Joyce Bragg, Jackie Miller, and Janice Evans; brothers Merle Watson and Phil\nBailey. \n\nA celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Brewer on Monday, July 11 beginning at 10AM with fellowship, followed by the service at 11AM, and committal at Cambridge Memorial Garden Cemetery at 3PM. Pastor Roger Davis will officiate at both services.
