STETSON - Sylvia (Gerrish) Scott Chick, 85, died February 6, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born September 9, 1931 in Brownville Junction, a daughter of Edgar and Janie (Wilson) Gerrish. Sylvia retired from the Dexter Shoe Company.

She really loved her 5 children and would do anything for them: Brenda and Tom Closson of Madison, Brent and Heather Scott of Daytona Beach, FL, Michael and Debra Scott of Dexter, Reggie and Darlene Scott of Orono, and Cecil Scott III of Stetson; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sylvia Kristine Sinclair.

Sylvia was predeceased by her first husband Cecil Scott, Jr.; her second husband Elbridge Chick; sisters Kathleen Sinclair and Marguerite York; brothers Willis and Charles Gerrish; and a special daughter in law, Bonnie Scott.

Graveside committal services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 13th, at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
