CAMBRIDGE- Thomas M. Kovach, 56, died unexpectedly, October 19, 2008, in Manchester, NH. He was born September 19, 1952, in Wichita, KS, son of Stephen and Patricia (Savoie) Kovach. Tom's family moved to New York when he was young and he was raised as a New Yorker and was an avid Yankees fan. In 1978 he married Karen (Chadbourne) Kovach and later they moved to Cambridge, ME. Tom worked for many years for Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter, and was currently working for Hamlin Associates in Parkman. He is survived by his wife of Cambridge; 2 daughters, Lauren Kovach of Boston, and Susan Kovach of Cambridge; a brother, Steve Kovach and his wife of CO; a sister, Kathy Berka and her husband, Mike of NY; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dave Koster of NY. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., in Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for a college fund for the family. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
