HARFORDS POINT- Virginia E. Higgins, 83, died May 7, 2010, at C.A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born March 9, 1927, in Bangor, daughter of Isaac and Winifred Hooper.

Virginia has lived in the Greenville area for the past 40 years, where she worked with her husband in business. They spent many winters in Florida at the Road Runner Resort, and made many friends. For the past two years Virginia has been at the C.A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville, touching many lives with her good heart, her humor and her love. She will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Omar N. Higgins of Harfords Point; three sons and their wives, James and Patti Higgins of Bangor, Scott and Alice Higgins of Augusta, and Rick and Darla Higgins of Greenville; a daughter and her husband, Karen and Rocky Elsemore of Greenville; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a loving son, Mark Higgins.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at the Greenville Cemetery, with Pastor Harbour Mitchell III officiating.
