EXETER - Wallace Alvah Humphrey, 88, died February 22, 2009 at a Bangor health care facility. He was born February 26, 1920 in Clifton a son of Bernard and Lenora (Carver) Humphrey. \n\nHe served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Wallace was a former Grange member and maple syrup producer, and had retired from Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. \n\nHe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle (Crocker) Humphrey; a son, Alvah Humphrey; and a daughter, Donna Humphrey, all of Exeter; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Steven, Hadley, and Carl; and a sister, Helen. \n\nGraveside committal services will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 16th, at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 80 Elm Street, Portland, ME 04101. \n\nArrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
